Future of all kind day - Thursday 09 November
On our "National Future Day", we had the pleasure of welcoming about thirty children to our offices to discover, during an entire day, the various professions practiced at IB. Due to the high demand, all the available slots were taken very quickly.
Through the various workshops, the children had the opportunity to explore how an architectural project comes into being and the multitude of people in various roles involved in the project development process. They enjoyed a day packed with multifaceted activities from model-building through a "neighborhood creation" workshop in Lausanne, construction-site visit to the Westpark project in Zurich and drawing a computer-generated image at the office in Bern.
The "National Future Day" provides young schoolgirls and schoolboys the opportunity to immerse themselves in a wide variety of professional fields, giving them a glimpse, without any preconceived ideas, of possible career opportunities for them.
The accompanying adults participated with enthusiasm and joy on this special day of exchange and passing of knowledge. Most of the children already expressed their wish to return to our offices next year!
