The Basler Zeitung reports in its Culture & Society section about our founding father Otto Rudolf Salvisberg and our 100th anniversary.
An excerpt from the article «A Bernese who shaped Basel architecture» by Dominik Heitz:
«It all began with the Roche house architect Otto Rudolf Salvisberg - in the meantime, the architectural firm Itten+Brechbühl has been in the service of architecture for 100 years. [...] In Basel, the architectural firm is visibly represented in the cityscape with, among other things, the Lysbüchel school building and the sweeping new apartment building at Hegenheimerstrasse 39. [...] This year, the firm is celebrating its 100th birthday in many ways - including an ideas competition and a book that «tells 100 years of IB on 100 pages».»
Many thanks to BaZ and Dominik Heitz for the wonderful article.
