2nd prize in the competition for the New inComune area- Castel San Pietro

The task involved the urban, architectural and landscaping redevelopment of the entire public area at the entrance of the nucleus.

The project proposes to define the area along the cantonal road with a public garden that replaces the existing parking lot, forming a new green area together with the school's park. The green area around the former Diantus factory and the free space regained with the demolition of the Cooperative's spaces and warehouses is redefined by a cultivated space that interprets the agricultural nature of the territory. An orchard, which becomes a public leisure space crossed by a network of paths that also lead to the existing playground and improve its usability. Between these two public green spaces, at the point where the land forms a basin, the square is defined: a sort of hinge for all the spaces and paths that converge in this strategic point at the entrance to the nucleus. In this central position the new building is inserted which gives the public space its character, giving complete definition to the space.
