3rd prize in the competition for the Liechtenstein National Library in Vaduz

In the centre of the city of Vaduz, the former post office building is to be transformed into the new Liechtenstein National Library building. Through targeted interventions in the basic building structure of the existing post office building, it was possible to propose a transformation from the post office building to the new library building. With a sophisticated positioning of additional building volumes, it was possible to clarify the urban situation and optimise the internal structure with all relevant processes. The new state library extends over approx. 3500m2 of usable space. We are pleased to have achieved 3rd place out of 29 invited participants.
