Contemporary architecture for individuality in old age.
The new seniors centre, "Jurablick", was opened in the centre of the village of Hindelbank in 2012, in the middle of a lovingly landscaped garden with tall trees and hedges.
The seniors centre combines living with nursing care. The main building A contains the administration, the public restaurant and the dementia department. The large sun terrace faces south. A bright atrium with its alcoves and seating areas tempts residents to linger and chat. House B contains 33 apartments for the elderly with 1 ½ to 3 rooms per apartment. All of them reflect current knowledge of how to design "architecture for old age".
The underground car park with 33 parking spaces unites the entire area.
