Works by the artist Lisa Hoever at IB Bern

Bureau Bollito - the office as an exhibition space

As part of the group exhibition Bureau Bollito, not only the rooms of the Robert Walser Center will be used, but also the offices of the participating partners. At the IB Bern location, the Bernese artist Lisa Hoever is exhibiting four of her works in two large meeting rooms on the 3rd floor until December 20, 2024.

The office is open from Monday to Friday, 8.00 to 12.00 and 13.30 to 17.00.

IB designed the premises of the Robert Walser Center a few years ago when the archive was moved from Zurich to Bern. We are therefore particularly pleased that IB's premises are now also being used as an exhibition venue.

The exhibition concept by curators Reto Sorg and Urs Zahn focuses on the tension between "free" art and regulated office work. Art is neither decoration nor a mere commodity, it is raison d'être, a foodstuff, creates steam, brings us to the boil and distils ideas.

Lisa Hoever was born in Münster (Germany) in 1952 and has lived in Bern since 1988. She studied at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf under Rolf Sackenheim and Alfonso Hüppi (master student) and was a lecturer at the Bern University of the Arts HKB for many years. She has exhibited regularly in Switzerland and abroad since the late 1970s.

Other exhibition venues include the Robert Walser Center, teo jakob Bern, BEKB and Swiss Post.
