Succession Plan for IB Basel Site Management
In our anniversary year, the course for the future is being set at our Basel site.
Jürg Toffol, longstanding partner and member of the IB Executive Board, has headed the Basel site since joining our company on 1 July 2012. At the end of January 2023, he will enter into a well-deserved retirement and Jan Stöcker will take over management of the Basel site on 1 July 2022.
In order to facilitate a seamless transition, Mr Toffol and Mr Stöcker have already been co-managing the Basel site since 2020.
The Board of Directors and the Executive Board are pleased to be able to count on Mr Stöcker as a reliable, committed and competent leader at the Basel site. With almost 17 years’ experience at IB, as a member of the Executive Board since 2015, as a partner of IB for three years and, above all, as the person responsible for many of our company’s reference projects, he is excellently equipped for this role.
For the future development and orientation of the Basel site, Mr Stöcker and his team are focusing on the drive for architectural design, all the way up to building handover, and on the increased use of digital processes such as the well-established Virtual Design & Construction and LEAN Construction Management. Alongside this, a personal commitment to ecological and resource-saving construction, as well as to creative, open methods of collaboration in the projects, remains a defined goal of the entire team at IB Basel.
Mr Stöcker will be supported in managing the site and implementing the company’s goals by the Basel site management team – Volker Homeier as Head of Project Management, Daniel Blum as Head of Design and Johannes Kretzschmar as Head of Construction Management.
The Board of Directors would like to thank Mr Toffol for his outstanding commitment to the Basel site and the company as a whole, and is delighted that he will remain available to join us on additional special tasks after his retirement. The Board of Directors also wishes Mr Stöcker much joy and fulfilment in his new task of continuing to lead the site into a successful future.
