IB will be part of the planning team for the new building project Forum UZH
In June 2023, IB, together with S+B Baumanagement AG, was commissioned as sub-planners by Herzog & de Meuron Forum AG for the Forum UZH in Zurich.
The consortium IB+SB is responsible for partial construction management services in the construction project phase and for the complete construction management and overall management from the tendering phase of the new construction project.
Built in a prominent location, the Forum UZH will be an education and research center of the University of Zurich, meeting the latest demands of modern forms of teaching and learning. The Forum UZH is designed for use by almost 6,000 people and offers, among other, 700 workplaces for students. The building is designed as a hybrid timber-concrete construction and is planned in a sustainable way.
Herzog & de Meuron was the winner of an international architectural competition in 2018. IB is pleased to support the ambitious project together with S+B AG in a constellation that has worked effectively during the construction of the new Roche Research Center pRED in Basel.
