Competition Guggerbach Centre Davos

The Zentrum Guggerbach Foundation is planning to extend its building ensemble with a new volume for assisted living flats for elderly people.

The project proposes a solitary hybrid-construction building with a photovoltaic façade on the sunlit sides. Four flats per storey revolve around a central core following the Tetris principle. Prominences and recesses outline the layout of the 3.5-room flats, oriented on three sides and looking out both on the street and the surrounding park.
