3XN/GXN and IB Win International Competition of new Ecotope for EPFL
We are very pleased to have won the international competition for the future «Ecotope» at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) together with 3XN/GXN!
The Innovation Ecotope is part of the strategic masterplan of ultimately 250,000 m2, geared towards crafting a social, sustainable, and active site for technology industry and innovation linked to the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL).
The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) has selected 3XN and IB to design and build Ecotope, expanding the university’s existing Science Park and Innovation Square to a new site west of the main EPFL campus. At 140,000m2, Ecotope will be a dynamic incubator and vibrant marketplace for fresh ideas and new collaborations, an evolution of the existing innovation park concept which will function as an «ecosystem in which policymakers, researchers, investors, executives, students, and citizens can come together for open dialogue or debate.»
