Community Life Sciences

As specialists in planning and delivering laboratory and research facilities, we develop high‑quality, future‑ready solutions. Since 1922, our work has been deeply rooted in the world of science and research. We closely track developments across the pharmaceutical and scientific landscape to integrate new insights directly into our daily practice.

What does the Life Sciences Community do?

The Life Sciences Community functions as IB’s internal expert group on laboratory and research topics. As a central repository of knowledge within the company, it provides skilled support to internal teams as well as external partners. Its work brings together IB’s decades of project experience—particularly in flexibility, modularity, complexity, and refurbishment—with current industry trends and innovations.

Laboratory and research environments are evolving rapidly. We recognize this dynamic and carefully adapt proven principles to new requirements and working methods. Our experience shows: regardless of how flexible a laboratory must be, a well‑conceived foundational structure is essential for planning functional and sustainable layouts.
