The office building of Vaudoise Assurances is located in Lugano at Via Corso Pestalozzi 6 and it is of special architectural significance. The value of the property consists in its special façade with its rich ornamentation and further details.
Parts of the façades were removed as the materials were crumbling. Everything was painstakingly restored with the support of the Office for the Preservation of Historic Buildings. The top floor was totally refurbished with a view to energy efficiency.
The work conducted has restored the building to a little jewel in the historic old town, and make it a template for further buildings in need of renovation.
