Multiple Workstreams Now Underway
The transformation of the former Swisscom building at Gewerbestrasse 15 in Thun continues to make steady progress. Much of the building envelope has now been sealed, and the project has entered a phase where multiple workstreams are advancing simultaneously and require close coordination.
While window and façade installation continues on the exterior, interior construction activities are now well underway. Work on both the first and second fit-out phases has begun in earnest. For the construction management team, this marks one of the most demanding stages of the project. A wide range of planners, contractors, and specialist trades are now working on site at the same time.
Interior trades and building systems teams are working hand in hand. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, technical installations, finishes, and built-in components must be carefully coordinated to ensure that work progresses seamlessly from one trade to the next. Detailed scheduling and ongoing coordination are helping keep the project on track and moving efficiently toward the next key milestones.
