New Garage Rank – Topping-Out Ceremony
On Thursday, September 10, we reached an important milestone in the construction of the new Rank bus depot: with the structural shell now complete, we celebrated the traditional topping-out ceremony.
Together with the client, contractors, craftspeople, and the project team, we marked this achievement with speeches, a welcoming reception, and a great atmosphere as we celebrated the project's successful progress.
Our sincere thanks go to Basler Verkehrs-Betriebe (BVB) and Drees & Sommer for organizing this successful event. Attention now turns to the next construction phases and the interior fit-out works.
A state-of-the-art center of excellence for electric mobility is taking shape. As the lead consultant responsible for architecture, planning, and construction management, we are proud to help advance this forward-looking project. When the facility becomes operational in summer 2027, it will provide modern and sustainable infrastructure for the operation of BVB's electric bus fleet. Basel-Stadt will be the first Swiss canton to transition entirely to electric buses, making a significant contribution to climate-friendly mobility.
