We are pleased to announce that Marcus Klink was appointed Partner during last week's General Assembly.
Marcus has been with IB since 2018. In 2020, he was appointed Associate; in 2022, he became the Head of Design/Development and Zurich Location Manager - two roles that came with the title of Associate Partner. This June, Marcus was promoted to Partner.
Marcus' diverse contributions to the company range from successful competition entries to overall project management (example: renovation and conversion of the Machine Laboratory and Student Project House ETH Zurich). Additionally, Marcus is currently overseeing numerous large-scale projects (excerpt: development of the new Dock A at Zurich Airport, office high-rise in Zurich Altstetten, Schaffhausen Cantonal Hospital, as well as various competition procedures). He is also managing director of the Raumfachwerk consortium between the Bjarke Ingels Group and IB.
Together with Partners Lidor Gilad and Robin Kirschke, Marcus is a Board Member of IB Atelier, working to strengthen and advance the strategic direction within the architecture division. As the Zurich Location Manager, Marcus has assembled a team of sustainability experts and created a position in artificial intelligence within a scientific context. These steps further support the focus on design architecture embedded in today's architectural discourse and are crucial for the implementation of Strategy 2030 (Charter for Sustainable Development in Construction).
