A special event took place at our Bern office in late June: local architect Markus Moser gave a compelling lecture on the life and work of Otto Rudolf Salvisberg (1882–1940), one of the two founders of our company.
Moser presented Salvisberg as a key figure bridging historicism and modernism, tracing his influence from Berlin’s housing developments to academic buildings such as the ETH’s Mechanical Engineering Laboratory, and on to major projects like the SUVA headquarters and hospital facilities in Berne. It was an inspiring look back at our roots—deeply embedded in Berne’s architectural culture, which continues to shape our work today.
