Foundation stone laid for the Collège Principal in Pully

A key milestone has just been reached in Pully with the laying of the foundation stone for the extension of the Collège Principal. On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, we had the honor of taking part in this event, alongside the local authorities and the project owner, the City of Pully.

The ceremony was attended by Lucas Girardet, Municipal Councillor, Department of Urban Planning and Environment (DUE); Jean‑Marc Chevallaz, Municipal Councillor, Department of Youth, Social Affairs and Public Safety (DJAS); and Laurent Gerbex, Head of Project/Design for Western Switzerland at Itten+Brechbühl (IB).

The extension project, scheduled to open for the 2028 school year, fits harmoniously into its urban surroundings while expressing a restrained, enduring architectural language that opens generously onto the landscape.

This ambition is reflected in a responsible and sustainable approach in which all aspects of environmental performance are fully taken into account—particularly through the use of low‑carbon materials, ensuring a healthy and future‑proof built environment.

As a reminder, the project began in 2021 with the architectural competition won by our office. This was followed by the launch of the design phase, carried out in close collaboration with the project owner, public authorities, and all partners involved, leading up to the start of construction in April 2025.

We look forward to continuing this excellent collaboration and to accompanying the next steps of this major public building for the City of Pully.
