On Monday, September 22, 2025, Elma Electronic kicked off the transformation of its 1969 production facility into its future headquarters with a symbolic gesture: removing a section of the building’s façade.
Located on the site of the existing hospital and medical-social facility in the Vallée de Joux, the new 80-bed nursing home is designed to meet the needs of a growing elderly population and the rising prevalence of cognitive disorders.
A recent article highlights the renovation of 415 apartments in the La Tourelle residential complex, built between 1965 and 1973 and now listed in the canton’s architectural inventory. Designed by our office, which also oversaw the architectural direction, the project successfully combines the preservation of modernist heritage with today’s standards for comfort, safety, and energy efficiency.

Managing construction in a tight urban setting
The Genèse project, recently awarded 3rd prize (4th place) in the FNM competition, is part of a strong ambition for sustainable transformation and urban reactivation at the heart of Meyrin. The name – Genèse – reflects a return to essentials: requalifying, reusing, regenerating an existing site to create a new central space, rooted in the site’s memory and looking to the future.
