The town of Frankfurt (Oder) launched a mixed architectural and investment competition. Proposals had to be submitted for developing a new district either side of Slubicer Street and for its redesign to incorporate a shopping centre with offices and apartments on the upper floors, a 4* hotel, an administration building and a medical centre with a housing complex for the elderly.

Itten+Brechbühl / P.arc Real Estate emerged as the winners in the 2-stage process.
