New construction Training Hall Magglingen
Project competition in an open, 1-step process for general planners
The new training hall as an expansion of the existing buildings is intended as a respectful addition of quality and functionality. Rather than stirring competition among the buildings with dominant architectural features, the plans strive to achieve balance, visually underscoring the enriching synergies of the two halls. The new structure is positioned slightly offset, symmetrically to the Toto Hall. The offset serves to create a clear address, which is framed by the «Amphitheatre» and thus completed in its clarity.
The sports rooms (Training Hall & Schwingen Hall) are conceived for state-of-the-art training. To allow for distraction-free training with the utmost concentration, the rooms are designed to be sober, calm and highly functional.
